Case file →Yandina is one of the oldest towns on the Sunshine Coast. The first cattle runs in the district were taken up in 1853, and in 1868 James Low's depot on the new road from Brisbane to the Gympie goldfields became the first post office between the two. Surveyed in 1870, Yandina was the first gazetted town in the Maroochy district, and many of its old buildings still stand along Stevens Street.
About 100 km north of Brisbane and 14 km inland from Coolum Beach. Yandina has a station on the Sunshine Coast train line.
